BOSCH Security System PASSWORD RESET Configuration Manager Software Bosch Project Assistant Mobile App DIVAR IP NVR Password Reset

If you have forgotten the password for a Bosch IP camera, DIVAR recorder, or BVMS system, the reset method depends on the product model.

Method 1: Bosch Configuration Manager Software

For many Bosch IP cameras:

1. Connect the camera and PC to the same network.
2. Open Bosch Configuration Manager.
3. Discover the camera device.
4. Select the camera and attempt login.
5. If password recovery is available, the camera will display a Challenge Code.
6. Record:
   • Model Number
   • Serial Number
   • MAC Address
   • Challenge Code
7. Contact Bosch / Keenfinity Technical Support with proof of ownership and request a password reset PUK code.
8. Enter the returned PUK/Response Code to reset the password.

Method 2: Bosch Project Assistant Mobile App

For newer Bosch cameras: Bosch Project Assistant App

1. Connect your phone to the camera’s network.
2. Open Bosch Project Assistant.
3. Select the camera.
4. Attempt login.
5. If password recovery is supported, obtain the Challenge Code.
6. Submit the code through Bosch Technical Support.
7. Enter the Response Code supplied by Bosch.

Method 3: Bosch Video Security Mobile App

Bosch Video Security App

The mobile app itself cannot normally bypass or reveal an administrator password. Password resets still require Bosch’s challenge-response procedure and ownership verification.

Method 4: DIVAR IP / NVR Password Reset

For Bosch DIVAR IP recorders:

You must provide:

• Authorization Letter
• Serial Number
• MAC Address
• Model Number

Bosch Support will generate the required reset information after verification.

Some Bosch cameras have a hardware reset button or reset pins inside the housing, while many enterprise models do not allow a complete password reset by button alone. Newer models often require the Bosch challenge-response process even after hardware reset.
