Replacement CCTV Housing

IP67 Weatherproof Housing

An IP67-rated housing is intended to provide a high degree of protection against dust and water ingress.

For outdoor CCTV installation, however, the entire installation must be considered—not only the housing.

Technicians should properly protect:

Cable Entries • RJ45 Connections • Power Connections • Junction Points • Mounting Holes • Cable Glands

A weatherproof housing cannot compensate for an improperly sealed cable entry.

Camera Compatibility

Before purchasing the SGCCTV-HS22M, check the camera’s:

Body Length
Body Width and Height
Lens Length
Cable Clearance
Connector Position
Power Requirements

The external housing may be physically large enough for a camera body but still unsuitable if a long lens or rear connector requires additional clearance.

For exposed installations, appropriate surge protection and earthing should also be considered according to the site design.

CCTV Housing vs Standard Outdoor Camera

Modern bullet and dome cameras often already have weather-resistant housings. However, a separate enclosure can still be useful where the project requires:

Box Camera + Specialized Lens

Additional Environmental Protection

Replaceable Internal Camera

Traditional Industrial CCTV Design

Special Camera/Lens Combination

The correct solution depends on the actual camera and installation environment.
